The first Formula One Grand Prix in Miami on Sunday paid off as the heavyweight battle between series leaders Charles Leclerc of Ferrari and Max Ferstappen of Red Bull.
Ferstappen won, the second in a row and the third F1-2021 champion of the year. His previous victories have been in Saudi Arabia and Italy.
The race has attracted some big names in both the sports and entertainment worlds.

Among them was music by DJ Khaled, “The best city in the world, Miami, Formula 1, let’s go!”
Duke University basketball player Paolo Bancher: “I mean these cars are so fast that you can’t even get a good video when they drive by, but I like it here, it’s dope.”
Rapper Tinie Tempah likes the atmosphere of the world’s biggest racing show.
“Yeah, I mean, it’s the first Formula One in Miami, so I’m definitely here for that, I was at qualifying yesterday, I just, yeah, like the whole atmosphere.”
Leclerc’s lead incision
Leclerc, who led the championship with 27 points earlier Sunday, won the season opener in Bahrain and his third race in Australia. On Sunday, he finished second, 3.7 seconds behind Ferstappen.
Carlos Sainz finished third in his Ferrari and Sergio Perez was fourth in Red Bull.
Fifth was George Russell in a Mercedes. He was followed by teammate and seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton.
Ferstappen started the race with teammate Perez in the second row, behind Ferrari, which stood at the poles of Leclerc and Sainz.
But Dutch driver Red Bull passed Sainz right after the start standing up. He then tracked down Leclerc, caught him on the 8th lap and bypassed the Monaco driver on the first turn of the 9th lap.
Ferstappen retreated from Leclerc by 4.6 seconds when the Ferrari driver performed on lap 25. The stop was slow. Ferstappen passed the lap later and responded with a quick stop. After the stops, Ferstappen’s lead jumped to more than 7 seconds.
On the 41st of the 57th lap Pierre Gasley at AlphaTauri and Landa Norris at her McLaren got in touch to bring out the safety car. Due to the accident, some teams climbed into the pits and moved to different tire depots.
Ferstappen, Leclerc, Sainz and Perez stayed aside, but suddenly gathered tightly in front of the field in that order as the safety car left on the 47th with the 57th lap.
Leclerc kept the pressure on Ferstappen for the next seven laps until Ferstappen retreated on the last three laps.
The race was held on a specially constructed street track with 19 turns and a length of 3.36 miles around Hard Rock Stadium, where Miami NFL dolphins play. The racers did not like the race before the race, because the surface was extremely slippery on those parts that were not rubberized, which created a race in one groove. The race turned out to be better than expected.
Two Aston Martin cars by Lance Stroll and Sebastian Vettel started the race from the pits. It was found that the fuel in them was too cold and they decided to start from the pits to avoid a penalty. They took 10th and 13th place respectively and started last and penultimate.
The only American team, Haas F1 Racing, had a so-called day. It seemed Mick Schumacher was on the verge of collecting his first points, but while running in ninth, he made contact with Vettel and finished 15th. Kevin Magnussen took 16th place in Haas.
