Nigerian producer Kiddominant KDDO claims he and Casper Nyovest founded Amapiano in West Africa.
After a debate between Nigerian artists May D and Davido on who imported the South African genre to Nigeria, Kida responded with his facts.
The DJ said that he and Casper’s song on the Amapiano, electronic wallet was the first yano sound imported into Nigeria and then Spanona – Wizkid, Burna Boy, Cassper Nyovest, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small.
“Me and Casper, the ‘e-wallet’, founded amapiano in West Africa. Spanona followed and made it bigger then david & foca really took the genre to another level. Facts,” Kddo tweeted.
The debate over the importation of opium into Nigeria has sparked a lot of controversy on social media, with Nigerians currently dragging DJ Mapharisa over his claims.
