ANC National Executive Committee member deployed in the North West, Abed Bapela, has denied allegations of registration rigging at the ANC’s ninth provincial conference in Rustenburg, North West.

This happened after a hack into the registration center. Bapela says that at that time the credentials of the delegates had already been approved. Despite this, there are some delegates who say they are still waiting for accreditation.

Bapela says, “We are not registering new people to attend the conference. We’re accrediting people, we couldn’t issue the accreditation cards yesterday after the premises were broken into and the printing machine was knocked over while it was still printing the accreditation cards, and if that’s the case, we have to secure the machine from the center and go and reprogram it all last night.”
