The pre-trial hearing in the asbestos fraud case against ousted African National Congress (ANC) secretary-general Aisa Magashule has been adjourned until January 2023. Magashule, ten others and five companies appeared in the Bloemfontein High Court for a preliminary hearing in the case about a few million rand Asbestos case.
Speaking outside court, Magashule said: “They keep delaying the case quite deliberately because the intention is to kill them ANC. And I call on ANC members across the country not to call for the ANC to be killed and to be part of the Democratic Alliance (DA) which is the ideological enemy. That is the point, but time will tell and you will see that we really save this ANC.
The hearing of the case was also postponed to June 10, 2022. Ace Magashule and his co-accused appear in court on charges of allegedly irregularly awarding a multi-million dollar asbestos roof removal contract in the Free State.
