Props France Mahlerb will mark a major career milestone as he makes his 50th Test for South Africa.
Malgerb is it the fourth player (all forwards) in the last three Tests to reach a major milestone for the Springboks.
In the third and final Test against Wales at the Cape Town Stadium, Castle Eben Etzebet played his 100th Test while a prostitute Bongi Mbonambi appeared for the 50th time.
Then last weekend it was the turn of another prostitute in Mbambela, Malcolm Marxto win his 50th Test.
The Springboks have won both previous Tests, which bodes well ahead of Malherb’s half-century.

While Mbonambi and Marx alternate roles between the starting line-up and the bench, Vermeulen’s inclusion sees Wiese take on the role of impact player in place of lock Salman Moerat, while Herschel Janties fills the void left by Hendricks’ promotion to the starting line-up.
“We’ve made a few changes to the squad, but Dwayne, Jesse and Herschel are all experienced players who know our systems well and have been staunch Boks supporters,” – said Ninaber.
“Ochs has also shown his ability to make his presence felt in the front row, so he’s back in the mix.”
Ninaber said they were mindful of Vermaelen coming back from injury, but he said that prompted him to set up front cover on the bench.

“Dwayne is a massive presence on the pitch and there is no more important game for his return from injury than against the All Blacks.” – said Ninaber.
“He is a force in attack and defence, and we know he will give his best against a physical All Blacks side desperate to bounce back from a difficult run of results.
“Jasper is also a warrior and we know he will be an equally strong presence when he steps on the field.
“Jesse has played over 50 Tests and he was waiting for his chance. He has played on the wing for us before so we know what he can bring to the game and we are also delighted to welcome back Herschel who has played a huge part in the squad’s preparation for the last two Tests.”

Ninaber praised Malherb for the achievement, which has reached half a century of licence, and said: “We are very proud of Frans and the team must make this a memorable occasion for him by giving everything to register the win.
“Franz’s work ethic is fantastic and although he is quiet off the pitch, his presence is definitely felt on the pitch.”
Nienaber expected a massive onslaught from New Zealand on Saturday despite the All Blacks suffering their second-biggest defeat against the Springboks last week (16 points – one shy of their biggest ever defeat of 17 points).

“New Zealand are like the Springboks in that they don’t give up,” – said Ninaber.
“They fought until the end against us at the Mbombela Stadium last week and we expect nothing less from them on Saturday.
“They have quality players in their ranks and with the rich history between the teams in Johannesburg and their desperation to turn things around after a couple of disappointing results, we know we have a huge task ahead of us this weekend.
“But our focus is on improving our game and making sure we build on our form from last week. We took an honest look at our performance last week and while there were some positives, there are areas where we need to step up and it’s vital that we get it right before we travel to Australia and Argentina for the away leg of the tournament, so for This is a vital match for us.”
