Acklequayman residents celebrate 10th anniversary of their community with drumming and singing.

The celebrations, which are a three-day event, were part of the council’s initiative to recognize the tremendous achievements of Akleweiman of Ajen Kotoku.

Speaking at the official opening of the Educational Foundation and its 10th anniversary celebration, Aklekweiman chief Nii Aklekwei III reiterated that several activities are planned to ensure the active participation of all Aklekweimans of Adien Kotoku around the world, who are expected to complement the roles of traditional leaders in the development agenda.

He said there would be a felicitation of some stakeholders and chiefs who have helped him in various ways since his appointment as High Chief of Acklekwaiman.

Nii Aklewei III pleaded for the completion of the Meda to Kotok roads and other projects that may have been initiated by previous governments.

He said that as traditional rulers, they always wanted the people of Adien District Capital Kotoku to live healthy lives in a safe environment.

“But the deplorable condition of the road poses a threat to their movement, especially at night and when emergencies are transferred to Meda in Kotok.

Some of the dignitaries who graced the occasion are the Paramount Chief of the Gbese Traditional Council who also served as the State Ga Adontengene Nii Aibote V, Chief Kpobimana Nii Kutse II, Chief Nikoi Tsurumana and Chief Niki Nikoi Tsuru III.
