South Africa is experiencing a takeover of ama2000 and it is both surprising and intriguing. Over the past few years, ama2000s (young people born between 2000 and 2005 or so) have made themselves more known in South Africa for their distinctive fashion and music sense. In fact, every other day another ama2000 goes viral for one thing or another.

The latest ama2000 to make headlines is a young woman who recently accidentally botched a move at a busy grocery store.

Ama2000 goes viral for a crazy Pick n Pay dance

ama2000 always manages to get the older generation of South Africans shaking their heads, and they seem to like it.

Just a month ago, one ama2000 went viral after wearing jeans that were so ripped they looked more like a denim bikini.

Yet another managed to leave people with raised eyebrows after he decided to bust out some serious dance moves mid-Pick n Pay.

A clip shared by @_mdooh on Twitter on Sunday last week shows a young girl dancing her heart out to amapiano star Young Stunna Adivele.

The video was signed as follows:

“Nisakhala nge (they cry) to the farmers market when even Shoprite is unsafe,” referring to a clip of another ama2000 dancing at a local market.

Mzansi bursts with jokes

The post received thousands of views and likes from social media users who discussed ama2000’s behavior at length.

However, others noted that the young lady was just having fun and did not harm anyone with her strange behavior and dance moves.
