Lions coach Ivan Royan named their team for their last US Rugby Championship match against the Welsh side Dragons in Newport on Saturday.
The Lions boast a new midfield pair in mind Matt Moore and Henko van Wieckwhile Manuel Race will cover the bench.
With the departing Burger Odendaal stayed at home, the castle Reinhard Notnagel will be the captain of the hand.
The Lviv teacher stressed the need to look to the future.
“As mentioned last week, it gives us the opportunity as a franchise to look to the future, and we believe this group will be part of that core,” Van Royen said.
“In match-23 it will be a few guys who will take the opportunity to make a name for themselves against the international opposition.
“Having said that, the Dragons will be a tough outfit to play at Rodney’s bright Parade. We’ve planned well and trained this week, so the guys we’ll be ready for will come on Saturday.”
Elsewhere, exciting forward Jarad Cairns and talented Asenati Ntlabakanie could have emerged from the bench.
Saturday’s clash is scheduled for 4pm (SAH time).
